  1. My favourite bad lyrics come from the Aerosmith track 'Pink'.

Pink - like the bed that we lay on.

Pink - it's my favourite crayon.

Pink - when I turn out the light.

Pink - it's like red, but not quite.

    Genius.

  2. The Citroen Happy Days Advert!! Stop it please!

Agreed! It's as if they blew the whole advert budget on securing rights to the Happy Days 'brand' and then didn't have enough money to pay for somebody to write a decent script. Or show the car.

On a related point does anyone think Happy Days was a grossly under-rated comedy? Tom Bosley was a comedy genius. And so was Donny Most who played Ralph Malph.

I will get my anorak now.

  3. Next year all clubs with a team are obligated to enter that team in 1st Division.

Does this mean that Ness, Whitedale, Burra, Unst and Yell have agreed to play in the top division in 2007?

(Perhaps I have misunderstood as I am only scanning posts quickly!)

If this is the case this would presumably leave the six current reserve teams in the second division. Would they be joined by a team 'promoted' from the works league?

Would this then open the door to reserve teams being 'relegated' to the works league?

So many questions, I know. I am quite willing to believe that currently there are no answers to some of them. It seems there's no great masterplan, instead it's just being pieced together a step at a time when concensus is reached at various points. To be honest I think this is fine and change should be gradual. The systems not so broke that it's worth putting anyone's nose out of joint about it - everybody wants to take the game forward in Shetland but nobody will benefit if, say, Burra are forced to do things they don't feel ready to do.

  4. Thanks for that Radarman.

Having gathered some information over the last few days this is the way I understand it.

The top division is going to have six teams - Delting, Whalsay, Thistle, Celtic, Scalloway and Spurs.

The second division is going to have five teams - Burra, Yell, Unst, Ness and Whitedale.

And the third division is going to have the works league teams.

Am I right in thinking teams from all three divisions are going to be allowed to enter the various cup competitions? Or will the works teams just have their own cup competitions and the top two divisions have their own cup competitions?

Is there going to be promotion and relegation?
