I am driving a new car that has controls for the accelerator and brake on the steering wheel. I posted my comments here as I had a touch of the old road rage a lot of us experience from time to time. ( This topic is called drivers so bad that they provoke road rage ) I was angry as I have the right to drive at a reasonable speed which I think was causing the problem. I was driving at 45-50 mph. I didn't mean for my post to be seen as having a moan and I have considered phoning the company to complain as I was kinda freaked oot by it so if that makes me sound pathetic so what.

Watched Harry Potter and the half blood prince and loved it. Can't wait for the next two.

Many thanks to the van driver who pulled oot o the Whiteness junction behind me aboot 4.30 this afternoon. I love being tailed and blinded and was so upset that you turned right at the airstrip at Tingwall.
I really hope you are a Shetlinker as I would like you to know that tonight was the first time I've driven to toon by myself in a car that has hand controls. You really made me nearly turn aroond an come hame. Maybe me doin 45 - 50 mph was a tad slow for you but so what remember the road isn't exclusively yours or the company you work for yep I did get a glimpse of the writing on the side an am contemplating a few phone calls in the mornin! Rant over.

All of the "we buy your gold" ads are getting so bad that they now have some z list celebs asking you to send your gold. AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH
The sooner I can be more mobile the better as daytime telly is starting to make me go insane.

I watched The Hangover the other night and thought it was hilarious. Me and son both love comedies and really enjoyed this. It's a film I would watch again.
Also watched The Boat That Rocked and was sorry that I'd bought it. It was so droll I was going to switch it off after half an hour.

I've been doing the same I've done since July. Sitting here reading/watching mind boringly numb daytime tv/phoning folk/playing on new laptop and waiting hopefully for the snow and ice to thaw enough to allow me to go up the path on my own and try to drive my new car without giving myself whiplash. (trying to get used to hand accelerator/brake) Other than that I wait in hope my sis will get here to take me oot for a while.

Good luck with the search for the barstool and trophy. I know one person who didn't take it as he was so drunk he didn't know he was hame.

Loving the tree at the Legion. Loads better than last years effort. Is the Market Cross one the same?
-
^^^I have done the same with christmas cake. I pinched one of my sons (clean and unused) needles he uses for injecting his insulin. He switched to a pen drive a few years ago and as there was some spare of the old type.

I love the display at the house in Lochside. It might be tacky to some folk but hey the bairns love it. My sis had to take her 6year old to see it the other night and no doubt she'll have to go a few more times before Santa comes.

I've seen some cracking local lobsters and they tasted yummy as well. McNabs usually will get you one if they don't have any in. The Canadian lobsters in Tesco are tiny but they are only £5.

Very brave piggiewiggie although I know what I like my hair to look like I have never taken scissors to my hair as I have an aversion to cutting anything straight. I might start a trend if I took up scissors

Well done to everyone for their sporting achievements over the past year no matter what sport.
But very well done especially to Martin Leyland, Emma Leask, Allie Elphinstone, Inga Woods and Megan Smith from Athletics for their awards.

Because of the lack of niceness/speed/acknowledging you're actually wanting served and are willing to pay good money to eat there we have not been in Oslas for at least a year, so we went in yesterday and hey guess what? same again. So we'll maybe make that an annual visit to see if things improve.

I always go to Elaine who used to run Cuttin Edge. She's now in Hair 2000. I would never go elsewhere. Shes going away till January so I've already booked her.
She'll have a job on her hands as my hair grows like weeds when you don't want or need them.

Maybe theres already a thread about this but I had a touch of passenger seat rage today over a guy on a bike. Young guy about 15 on the pavement cycling at high speed. Sis was driving and indicating to turn in to Frankie Williamsons when the nutter flew past as sis was pulling across it was a near miss. I let out a mouthfull and if I was able I would've got out the car to the prat. If we had've been quicker we should've phoned the police on him.

I've watched this programme a few times. Some of it is a bit cringeworthy but on the whole it's a good idea and as Auld Rasmie says it could be done throughout the isles using the halls and proceeds could go to local charity.

I don't get the need to have a certain type/make of car I just want one that goes, is wind and watertight and I can listen to radio or cds to sing at top of my lungs if I want too.

My first car was a B reg red Fiat Panda then I " upgraded " to a Ford Fiesta reg number OPS 216W. I loved that car.
