  1. NFPK announces our brand new YOUTH class. We are now going to be running a Youth (13-17) Class every Tuesday from now on. Learn Parkour with Northern Focus Parkour Adapt qualified and experienced Parkour Coaches. Classes are a mix of parkour techniques and exercises to strengthen the body for regular practice in jumping, vaulting, climbing and other techniques. It is a pleasure to be able to deliver this training in Shetland and we would encourage you to come along and give it a go! YOUR FIRST CLASS IS FREE!   3. The Shetland Parkour Experience 2 is a 4 day Parkour Training Event in Shetland's unique environment, starting on Friday 24th May 2013. The event is a chance for Parkour practitioners old and new to gather in a unique setting for 4 days of training and exploring the discipline of Parkour. Tickets can be purchased through the Shetland Box Office by calling 01595 74 5555. It brings together some of Scotland’s top Parkour coaches through Roots of Movement as well as coaches from Parkour Generations. SPE 2 is set to build on last year’s event and be an experience not to be forgotten! Shetland offers a host of unique outdoor training environments and extensive indoor facilities, all of which will be used in SPE 2. Participants will be taken through a number of aspects of Parkour training over many different classes such as Creative Movement, Foot Placement and Precision, Breaking Jumps, Wake-Up Class, Night Training and a Final Strength Challenge on the last day. The coaching team includes: Chris 'Blane' Rowat & Shirley Darlington Blane and Shirley of Parkour Generations are travelling from London for SPE 2. Blane is a head coach with PkGen and Shirley is one of the world's most prominent female practitioners. Chris Grant Chris is one of Scotland's longest practicing traceurs and founder of Roots of Movement and Glasgow Parkour Coaching. He is currently living in Shetland and is responsible for programming and co-ordinating the coaching team for SPE 2. Omercan Cirit Omercan, orginally from Turkey, is a coach with Glasgow Parkour Coaching . He has been teaching for 3 years and is also a keen weightlifter. Tim Pearce Tim returns to SPE 2 for the second time. He is the founder of Aberdeen Parkour and works full time as a Parkour coach. He has organised a number of large events in Aberdeen and taught Parkour all over Scotland. Zeno Watson Zeno is one of Glasgow longest practicing coaches, founding Glasgow Parkour Coaching with Chris in 2008. Zeno is well known for his tough conditioning drills and is a strong character on the Glasgow Scene Stuart Wilson Stuart Wilson founded Fife Parkour Coaching in 2011 and has been practicing Parkour for 7 years. He has established a large number of classes in Fife and worked on the JUMP project with Chris. Sam McFarlane Sam is a prominent freerunner and gymnast from Glasgow and is part of the Urban Artists team. He is a well known character in Glasgow and stands out for his acrobatic style. The event will enable the four local coaches (Chris Wright, Brendan Johnson, Mark Holland and Callum Aitchison) to sign off the remaining hours required to finalise their ADAPT qualifications. Once the hours are completed, the coaches will be fully qualified and able to pass their skills onto other practitioners young and old throughout Shetland.
