thanks rain and wind dont bother me ive lived in wet and windy west of scotland for over 20 years lol although its only a short trip to the big city lights I hardly ever go as i prefer the local shops and the rural side of life.

mmm never been classed as an immigrant before.....I understand that any move for anyone would be difficult I am however not jumping into this feet first hench why I came on here to ask for peoples information on the area and my 'homework' on the area has highlighted some problems with accomadation but like anywhere if u look hard enough and are willing to do the extra mile with research etc then u can always find something thanks for your reply

Thanks for that seaviewz Im actually quite keen to do it Im that kind of person Id rather try stuff than not lol Ive been reading up on it and getting info from a few places and hopefully I may be there if the desicion is the right one

I just kinda assume that lerwick would be better if i was needing to work I dont drive so would need to be near some kind of job, Ive had a look around a view websites and lerwick looks lovely however Im not even sure what other areas hold in the way of jobs etc hench my post lol

Hi Im looking for infomation on what it is like to live and work in the Shetland areas..... What is the general view of everyone about the day to day living and amenities in the Lerwick area.... Any info would help...
