  1. What do you make if the cars then? Thought last years Mclaren was a thing of beauty, not so sure about this years, bit ugly if you ask me. I thought that Murray Walker was coming back, anyone else hear this? I miss the James Allan & Martin Brundle duo, don't like this Jonathon character.
  2. Thanks Boogaloo for all the information, I was aware of the difference between a zone 1 dish and a zone 2 dish, on the sqish website it says :- "For Sky and Freesat viewers in fringe reception areas such as Scotland and Ireland where a zone 2 dish is usually required the slightly larger (54cm x 30cm x 6.5cm) Selfsat H21D is recommended" I just wondered if it would work as well here? I have not seen any as I have travelled around so do not want to go to the expense of getting it only to find that the signal strength/quality is poor.
  3. I need to replaced my Sky Dish and was considering fitting a sqish, I was wondering if anyone was using one in Shetland? I am fed up with my dish flexing in the wind and loosing signal. TIA Dan www.sqish.co.uk
  4. Would guess it's based on distance from the refinery, I hear that prices in the North Highlands are even more than they are here. 124.9 at Sutherlands/Jims? & 138.9 for the tractor juice an hour ago when I was there. Think Leasks were 128.9 & 142.9,

  6. I think the point I was trying to make was regarding the morality of complaining about the service of a local company, buying from elsewhere and then expecting the local company to fix that product when it goes wrong. As you say :- The contract is not with the local garage who (I am reliably informed) are not under obligation to carry out warranty or any other repair on a vehicle they did not sell, a friend of mine who works in the motor industry "sooth" told me a garage near him got so fed up with a customer, that after consulting with their lawyers and the manufacturer, they not only refused to fix his car under warranty but also barred him from their garage. DD
  7. In response to NN's rant regarding "well known LK garage monopoly" I feel I must stick up for a family run local company who seem to be nice people to do business with. So tell me, if you go "sooth" and buy your pre reg 3 month old (or older) Vauxhall, would you expect the big bad penny pinching local vauxhall dealer to carry out warranty work for you? Or would you go "sooth" for that too at your own expense? I suspect they would become the nice chaps who picked up my broken car from the side of the road with their nice breakdown wagon and fixed it all under warranty at no cost to me! DD
