  1. I use Vodafone, parked outside the Walls shop and it's the only place I've seen 3G appear on my Blackberry!  Brae isn't bad as you get the EDGE signal but everywhere else is pretty hopeless.  Tried O2 out of interest and within Lerwick 3G was very good coverage but as soon as I passed Leasks garage on the way out of town the signal went and it too was then useless.

I know the Vodafone 3G discussion has been on here before and supposedly Voda see no financial benefit to installing it in Shetland.  Come on everyone, we're paying the same as on the mainland and getting a (very) second rate service!  Would be good to put some pressure on Voda one way or another....maybe even find out the costs and have a whip round ;-)

  2. It's because you're using the same Apple ID on both devices, anything you put on one will reflect onto the other.

You can set up anther ID using a different email address to get around it.

Had same problem when my son downloads onto his iPad, appears on my iPhone :-)

  3. Yes, I can see how it hooks in but obv. no adjustment on it :-( I wonder if a new mechanism would sort the problem, I can't see how the door would have moved....maybe the section where it hooks in is causing the issue? I guess the door needs lifting out to check that?

Thanks for your advice btw :-)

  4. We have a sliding door and there is a gap apparant wven when closed.

There's a central hand operated lock (mullion lock?) that appears to be designed to pull the outer door in to seal it but it has little if any effect.

Can anyone tell me how to adjust this or point me in the right direction please? I've searched Nordan website and can only find this which shows the central lock:

  5. Well the fish and chips were certainly very good, can't comment on anything else really.

Yes I guess it does depend when you go. I'd only ever been once, when they first opened. I think it took them some time to get it right as that experience was awful! :-)

  6. I don't know the full story on this but I am aware of one person in Shetland who has had the same problem.

Their car was brand new and has basically been scrapped because of this issue.

Supposedly the problem cannot be rectified as it is due to a fault/problem during manufacturing. Central & Citroen have acknowledged this.

Like I say, it wasn't my car so I don't know everything but I do know he no longer has his new car :-(
