My Dad has been repairing/restoring antique clocks for years, I can ask him if he'd take it on. He works full-time so wouldn't be able to do quickly.
Let me know if you've sorted anything yet.

Cheers for that, I assumed B&B's would be used to it, if anyone could recommend anywhere that'd be great.
Like the Cinema idea!
Many thanks.

I may need to go to Orkney, quick visit, in on the ferry back to Shetland on the next.
I know the boat arrives middle of the night, what do folk normally do, can you get accomodation or at least somewhere to crash until morning? What about coming back, do folk just stay in the pub until the boat gets in?!
Cheers

My 8 year old wrote a letter to Santa today (on behalf of his 2 year old sister, of course, since he's FAR too old to believe in such things, he said).
For his sister: an Upsy-Daisy doll.
For him: Lego Agents Mobile Command Centre
That's it. (but that Lego toy is £70! )
Lego agents is great, it was reduced in Harrys a few weeks back when we bought one. Unfortunatly a cushion accidently found its way on top of the completed model so now I have to sit with my 8 year old and help him re-build it.....at least I'll remember the tricky bits second time around!

I'm looking at upgrading an existing Sky connection to Sky+ for my parents. Sky want £150 for the new box, £60 installation. I assume the installation is mandatory as it needs a twin cable, correct me if I'm wrong.
Seems a bit steep to me, considering the offers they give to new customers. They were going over to BT Vision but didn't realise this was through Freeview which can't be received where they live. Even the threat of leaving Sky did nothing to bring the price down.
I know I can source the latest Sky+ box on eBay, probably around £100 but would still need the installation. Other option might be Freesat but as they need the record facility they'd have to have a more expensive box with recorder built in.
Appreciate any advice!

My barber doesn't do styles, it's just, "How much do you want taking off?" !

I heard they were all stood by it soon after it happened, hands in pockets, so I'm sure they were all fine.

There were a few bobbing heads further into the corner near the main road today and there was a huge one right out on a rock there last week. Other than that I've seen nothing for months.

Anyone feel Simon Amstell always 'sounds' very scripted, Mark Lemar was more natural, I just felt Mark delivered the insults with more passion!

I know of Lerwick Autobody but just wondered if there was anyone else in Shetland that did bodywork/paintwork?
Also, are there any garages/mechanics that are experienced working on modern Saabs?
Many thanks
