  1. Whilst I appreciate that there are school closures coming i'm sure that there will always be a need for supply teachers

yes, however there is already a large amount of qualified teachers available to cover who are already on the radar, especially as many were on temporary contracts that have now not been extended.

Work in outlying areas may be available here and there but good chance that the fuel costs more than its worth to do the cover.

  2. Here in Shetland pre-school children went to play-group. I'm sure it was led by very capable people and I never heard of any complaints from anyone. .

I assume by that you don't have a desire to give young children the best start in life at what is a crucial development stage?

Just bung em in a room with some sand, some 'capable' people and jobs a good un

  3. I have no problems whatsoever with a classroom assistant leading a pre-school class; in fact, amazed they haven't earlier. Years ago, attending nursery school before infants school was basically a glorified babysitting service - and what has changed now, apart from the fact they have put things like "must play with water, must play with sand" onto the curriculum? Starting school early doesn't necessarily equate to good, basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.

You really do post some utter tosh

  4. when do you switch yours on

i noticed very few cars had their fog lights on.

I was wondering what the position in law is i.e who decides if you are at fault for not having your lights on or off

There is no legal requirement to use your fog lights, indeed many cars don't have front ones.

The only requirement is for turning them off when visibility improves.

  5. looking at the price history, since they started offering unlimited, it started at £99 and is now £79 - however they do throttle it for peer to peer if you use a lot of data

But they do a package called pro, which is at the price levels stated by the previous poster at £279 - so I suppose it depends what options they had with BT that they are matching to the satellite service.

It begs the question whats missing from the standard package that is on the pro to justify the significant price difference - looking at the blurb its not obvious apart from a few static ips

  6. Its at the opposite end of the tills from the entrance

lets you choose when you are happy with the picture then prints
