I've been meaning to post this here - Wednesday night's southbound sailing has to be the worst one I've been on since I moved to Glasgow Honestly, it was so bumpy and I felt sick even after having taken Stugeron. Additionally the boat didn't dock till 11am so I had to fork out for another train ticket.
At least I'm not back till summer at this rate

Is it wrong that I laughed like a drain at that?
PS Twerto - think yours has a bad link?

^^^^ YES.
Brilliant film - one of Tarantino's best.
Just think - this time last year, I'd never seen a Tarantino film (I'm ashamed to say). But thanks to uni, visiting my auntie and my brother's Mac, I've seen three

I left 'Dave' and 'Profundis' at my granny's one weekend, so I started reading 'Something Leather' by Alasdair Gray. It's...okay, but nothing special

I'll be surprised if Brae opens tomorrow

I also hate how my mobile died just as I got back to Shetland. I'm not back in Glasgow till the 14th, so I can't get it fixed yet. And until then I have to use my crappy old phone which barely works >_

Also - what's with all these 'post your unwanted gold to us' for cash ads?! How many such companies can there be?

The saddest bit is, it's not even a prank call:

I'm so glad someone else has identified how awful that damned Go Compare advert is It boils my p*ss every time it comes on the telly now.

I agree - on at least two occasions this year I've witnessed the mods lock a thread on what is clearly a dodgy subject, only for a persistent user to start a new one, seemingly to just be difficult. It does get a bit stupid at times.
-
Yay @ Tom and Jerry I haven't watched that in ages

We're currently having a Vodafone outage in Brae - or at least, my end
-
'The Book of Dave' by Will Self. Also need to read 'De Profundis and Other Writings' by Oscar Wilde while I'm home because I'm doing a presentation on it at uni

Losing Vodafone signal ¬_¬ Sorry, I am aware there's a thread on it here. But it irritates me because I keep forgetting I can't text people back in Glasgow, among them my flatmate - I got an email last night from Scottish Power asking for my meter readings. I'm not back in Glasgow till the 14th so she needs to read it and send me the figures. Think I'll need to phone her from my land line later

I was in Primary 7 at the time, and excited that I'd be in secondary by that time next year I guess.

I had to put up with hearing 'The Climb' played twice on radio 2 today because as the DJ said - "We wont be playing the christmas number 1, due to expletive content. We can play the next best thing though; number 2."
And "number 2" just about sums it up nicely.
I agree, what a horribly dreary song.
-
^^^ I agree there.
I hate it so much when folk insist he 'worked hard' for his victory - no he didn't. He essentially went up for a talent show. There was little work involved. And I'm sure losing out on Christmas no 1 won't hurt his career.
