I don't know who did it, but a couple of years ago some dance band did a horrific dance version of annie lennox's classic ballad -why (which coincidentally is not only the name of the song in question, but also what went through my head everytime I heard it on the radio!)

I hate dance covers of already good songs. They should be banned.

Seriously though; it must be one of the blandest covers in the world. At least Cat Stevens made it sound as if there were two different characters in the scenario placed by the song; Boyzone just sing it so woodenly. I can't believe someone actually requested I play it on my show, I'm disgusted.

I saw 'Inglourious Basterds' at the Tyneside in Newcastle when visiting my auntie a couple of weeks back. Incredible film, not quite Pulp Fiction but still totally worth the two and a half hours (although it helped that our screen had comfy seats).

I also saw 'Away We Go' last week - a sweet film with plenty funny bits, but underwhelming and a bit directionless.

I thought I was the only person who saved chinese for breakfast....

^^^ That's unbelievable. I hate the attitude of some of their staff, it's like they think that just because they're the only northbound ferry company they can treat passengers like they do. Then again, sounds like the steward's thinking, 'Why's he asking me? Not my problem'. May be catering staff you need to mention it to.

I think it's pretty daft that they don't think of varying the menu a bit. Plus the food quality needs to be vastly improved anyway, it's inedible gunge. They have those customer surveys lying about the cabins, you should fill one of those in and mention it there. If enough folk do that they'll have to listen
