  2. Hi Shetlinkers, Many of us mourned the loss of Shetlopedia, and I was especially sad to see all my politics research disappear. However, I was able to recover a 400mb .txt file that contained every single page from Shetlopedia on it and have used that to rebuild the politics section that I had on the site.   3. Whether you wanted to remain in the EU or Leave it things have been set into motion which cannot be stopped. The one thing that has happened that was always going to happen was another call for an independence referendum. We as Shetlanders regardless of our political opinion have a duty to use this current situation to help our economy,people&position. I am just entering the final year of my undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge, and to complete this years grade I have chosen to enter a Dissertation project investigating the ways in which contemporary Shetland Island inhabitants construct their identity. Due to familial connections to close relatives in Northmavine and an academic concern for "rural" community politics, the development and contestation of identity on the island group is of immediate interest to me.
