G eorge
I found the history of this Heinkel well documented on http://www.heinzthurz.co.uk/lastflight.htm, which is probably known.Since there was a meteorologist, Leo Gubrek, among the dead crew members, I checked the annals of the DEUTSCHE METEOROLOGISCHE GESELLSCHAFT E. V. http://fa-gem.dmg-ev.de/findbuch_Dateien/Findbuch_Daten.htm with no result, maybe because he wasn't a studied meteorologist. The only weather reconnaissaince flight mentioned in the DMG annals, where a meteorologist died in the Shetland Islands in WWII was on 9.10.1944 with Dipl. Met. Martin Hanetzki.
