Guest Anonymous
Who would change their voting intentions to Conservative as a result of D.C. becoming leader?
JAStewart
If I could vote, I wouldn't. First of all, I would most likely vote Liberal Democrats, as they represent my views best. Secondly, I just don't really like David Cameron's views, though he has probably been the best Tory leader for quite a few years.
Guest Anonymous
I would pretty much agree with your views of David Cameron. He is the best the Tories have come up with for a long long time. However, he is not the finished package as yet. It is one thing the front image of the party per se changing, but the whole Party has to be altered lock, stock and barrel. The snobby blue rinsed brigade have to rooted out and - if it is possible - Tories need to come across as being 'normal'!!! Otherwise, they are surely going to be struggling. I think they'll be struggling, as most of them are simply grown up, over-privillaged public school boys.
Guest Anonymous
I think they'll be struggling, as most of them are simply grown up, over-privillaged public school boys. I think that is a bit of a steriotype. Thats a bit like saying the Labour Party is full of cloth capped, working class people. There can be no doubt that the Tory Party probably does contain a lot of people of that ilk, but it is also a party of normal people who care about the issues of today - similarly to any othe political party. JustMe
Well with the tories and labour seeming so close together on lots of things perhaps this really is the time for the lib dems to rise up and take power. Or maybe having had Thatcher and Blair running the country with little consideration for the views of their own parliamentary party it might just be time for some sort of workable coalition after the next election. Of course I am writing about westminster. Scotland already has enough of a split in the chamber (as well as the roof) that would stop the likes of Thatcher and Blair doing what they dammed well liked. That said it was refreshing to hear Cameron saying that the tories could support the government on some legislation. Can we finaly get away from the idea that all government policies are good and those of the opposition bad until there is a change of power. Njugle
David Cameron is on the up guys and I don't think there is anything that can be done to stop it. Except by the man himself! "No more Punch and Judy politics!" one week "UKIP [...] fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists," the next, way to go Davey boy! BloomsburyLad
Chris Martin, the oh-so terribly worthy singer with Coldplay has outed himself as DavidCameronite. Finally a real reason to despise him. Thank you Mr Cameron. I can now sleep easier at night.

Ally
Duh! Just shows how keen I was to believe it. I can relate! I utterly loathe that fellow. My pet hate used to be Robbie Williams, but Martin has well surpassed him in the hate stakes....
