etterscab
His last appearances here were a mite...divisive...but legendary ex-Teardrop Explodes eccentric Julian Cope is playing Orkney in June and looking for a suitable venue in Shetland. With his acoustic band. Promoter Rob Ellen is keen to hear suggestions, and from prospective co-promoters. Contact him at http://houseconcerthub.ning.com/profile/robellen I understand he's having trouble contacting established promoters hereaboots... Proximity of venues to ancient monuments an advantage...
Medziotojas
I was at the Brae Hall gig many moons ago. He seemed tae be fairly taen wi "Mavis Grind". Def go to this (potential) gig if any promoters are up for it. Fingers crossed
Ghodbane
I really hope this comes off, have been a fan of his for many years...all of teardrop explodes right through to the latter stuff and all the wildness he has featured on in between...the addition of mr cope's voice to the song 'My Wall' on the SUNN0))) - white1 album in particular!! Fingers crossed for his return!
Snaz
I remember the Brae gig too many moons ago. Very entertaining, though I think he managed to wind a few folk up too from what I recall
Pooks
I danced wie Mr Cope at da Brae gig many moons ago when he spanged aff da stage! IIRC it was a seated affair when we got there? I believe that the Times report had something along the lines of, "The Braer oil-soaked crowd" possibly in reference to the abundance of Guinness that had been poured about... anorthernsoul
Julian Cope's agent has been onto us about bringing him up this year, would there be much interest in seeing Mr Cope back up here? Can anyone still remember who he is? Can he still remember who he is?!!!
