Hi Rachel, There isn't a surfing club as such, but there are a few surfers around, some of whom are quite good and some still learning like myself... There are waves here, but they are pretty fickle, takes quite a while to figure out where to go when. But it is great being out in clean water with seals and gulls for company here. Do you have any gear? Someone might be able to loan you a board, but you would definitely need to get your own wetsuit, boots, and gloves. If you want any more info send me a pm. Sean

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I'm in a similar situation. I've just moved to Shetland last month and really keen to get put surfing. I've surfed since last summer, definitely still in the beginner category. It would be great to meet anyone to head out with and show me a few spots if willing. I do a bit of photography so if anyone wanted a few shots taken for showing me around I'd be more than happy. (Obviously they would not be publicised)!
