The qestion still remains is it a Public holiday or a Local holiday for the SIC , Schools, etc. if you check out official holidays on the web it is not a Public holiday.

Wednesday 26th January 2011 Due to the public holiday a limited bus service will be operating. The above is from the 'zetrans'web site is this a public holiday or a LOCAL holiday for the SIC, schools etc.

Not checked link to plans about the proposed houses, however i dont suppose the houses at Scalloway backed on to the fish factory orignally. So in the future whats to stop further development of houses and then the residents to object to the marts/abotoir if future development is required ?

Man of Kent, I know of more than one local shop where people still have 'lines'. They have been also known to help if wallet left at home and you dont have a 'line' as such.

After reading last weeks Shetland Times about the Mareel project it appears that the price has increased again. The price is now estimated at 12 million, is this not 1-2 million more than previous estimates?

Therefore it could all come down to his opinion on whether the £975,000 is passed or not. Anyone know which way he would be inclined to go? Having listened to Radio Shetland tonight on the Anderson High cost increasing by 20%. The question is if this also applies to the Mareel project, can the budget support it and if not will they have to go begging to the SIC at a later date ?
