Just wondering when it got so trendy to like AC/DC? Saw them in Aberdeen in '96 and it didna sell out till near the date. When they played in 2000, it was just the SECC in Scotland and you could still get tickets near the date. Now, Hampden isna big enough!!! Well said EM. You summed up the feelings of almost everyone i have spoken to. Colin's input to this post is highly insensitive, innaccurate and offensive. To combat but one of his many tedious points, the one about people paying to travel here, a jarl squad member was travelling over from Alaska to partake. He is still coming over, but refused to go out if the jarl couldn't. Some things come before a public hall's takings. All squads were at the meeting, so they had a chance to talk to all their members and gauge opinion. I also think that we have not indeed evolved beyond a p**s up, common sense and decency comes first. Also You can't compare Scalloway Fire Festival to the Lerwick UHA, much smaller community.

Between bands, hall bookings and having to apply for liscences a long time in advance(i think a couple of months) that was voted against. That was a close vote though, not having it next Friday was unanimous.

Judging by the way everyone i've spoken to thinks, and that's quite a lot, a very well supported desicion. Pretty pointless without a Jarl squad.

Got every episode and every live video and been at the live show once. Absolute genious. Rik Mayall is a complete comedy god. Young Ones also class and his turn as Lord Flasheart on Blackadder was hilarious.

They, as a club, should have liased better with both the police and council of Manchester. If they knew so many were travelling(which it appears they did), there should have been more warning for for better facilities to be in place. Perhaps a ticketed fanzone like the one Glagow themselves arranged for the Scotland v Italy game. Certainly more riot police. Probably not feasable, but my original point of the club trying to deflect blame certainly doesn't help. Without trying to be too anti-rangers, they get away with treating wherever they go like they own it and the club and press' lack of condemnation will do nothing to eradicate that attitude.

So far, according to what has been said on here and in various publications, the blame for the trouble lies at the feet of(in no particular order).... Manchester City Council Broken TV Police Stewards Chelsea fans Celtic fans The heat The drink and pretty much anything or one except from Rangers. Startin to feel really sorry for them
