  1. Ronald, I think you missed this rather important point: When you phoned neff, if they'd have told you George Robertson ltd have a contract to repair their own sales for Neff appliances. This is because we changed our trading terms last year and retail outlets had to commit to a certain level of stock to have full terms. Therefor George Robertson ltd only repair neff appliances sold by themselves. Then you wouldn't have had to come onto Shetlink and play keyboard warriors slagging off a brilliant small local business? Furthermore - maybe before you came on this public page slagging them off you could have discussed your issues with someone higher up the food chain at Robertsons? Say a director? who would have given you an explanation like the one above. With reference to your comment "To continue the analogy, if I bought a TV from Tesco, it broke down and the manufacturer advised me to take it to the Coop but they wouldn't/couldn't look at it, I'd be a bit miffed." Again, if the manufacturer had given you a valid explanation in the first place, you wouldn't be miffed? If you've always had great service from them over the years and their pricing is extremely competitive. Then why jump to a conclusion when someone in a call centre gives you a piece of false information then come on a public forum and write a tidal wave of pure guff about them? I've shopped beside robertsons for a lot of years, and I will continue to do so. They offer a great service, and I've never had any problems what so ever! Friendly staff, free delivery, and they even take your old appliance away free of charge. There's not many other electrical retailers that offer a service like that?
  2. Bla bla bla not this garbage again. This is absaloutely Ridiculous!! You wouldn't go to tesco buy a tv, then go to coop and demand they fix it or give you a new one?! Or buy something dodgy from amazon then complain to eBay?! Because this is exactly the same!! Off course George Robertson only fix stuff that they've sold, its not there problem to pick up the pieces for someone else, especially someone from the mainland!! To make this even simpler for you, say you go to T&N and buy a kitchen, and you get all your appliances from them, why would george robertson come behind them and tidy up there mess? you wouldn't do it if you were a business owner? Look at the bigger picture. If you'd have bought your appliances from them in the first place. Or if you'd bought your appliances from a company that actually has engineers to fix what they sell, you wouldn't have this problem. Good on you George Robertson! Keep up the good work! Absolutely Infuriates me when people get behind there keyboards and come on here at every opportunity they get to slag off local businesses.
