I was reminded tonight that the Highland Show is in Edinburgh very shortly - next week, I think. Maybe someone going would take petititions there.

Just thought it was worth repeating something I heard on BBC Radio Scotland on Tuesday morning: "where a foreign national is found guilty of a crime and is sentenced to a term in prison he/she may on release be considered for deportation". Clearly there was no consideration before action in Sakchai's case.

Like Mr Carmichael, I and doubtles many other people learned about Shetlink just this week - it's a good site and one I'll keep visiting.

My father fought and many others died for standing up for people caught up in the same circumstances as Satchai macow finds himself now during two world wars.Tony Blair and his henchman seem to be set on making a once proud country look like a bunch of bloody fools all over the world. Satchai has paid his debt to society for his mistake by serving a custodial sentence. He has represented Shetland in amateur athletics at the highest level. He has also chosen to represent scotland. He is a highly regarded employee of the Shetland welfare Trust and a popular friend. its time for people to stand up and show their support for this lad. the slogan must be DONT LET THE BxxxxxxS GRIND US DOWN POWER TO THE PEOPLE
