More shops meens more choice?" (quote) No this is really bad, it means the loss of Jobs in scalloway surgery, as they wont be allowed to continue their pharmacy, which is not good. I have family and friends who work there, who have provided the community with fantastic service for years, and their jobs are at risk because of this move!!! I am pro SNP, but this is their worst decision yet. The council were right in their original decision to stop the new pharmacy. shame it was turned over. Your comment on more choice, seems to come from someone who doesn't know scalloway is a small village with 2 great shops. and a pharmacy isn't whats needed, as the surgery has provided the best pharmacutical care as well as great doctors for years. school shut, dr's at risk, fishing industry failing, whats next???? Mayby the castle might get knocked down to make way for a chip shop, or a pub!!!! sheesh.
