Sudden Stop
Anybody else spot the comet to the west? I saw it about half four for a about ten minutes before the clouds gobbled it up. Heres a link with some photos, looks better in the flesh, the photos don't do it justice. http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?t=259169&highlight=comet

Sudden Stop
I don't pretend to know anything about such things, but it seens to have been visable for a couple of daysm One thing that i wonder about though: i watched it for a while before the clouds covered it, but it was just patchy cloud. By the time the cloud moved off, i couldn't see it anymore, perhaps you can only see it at particular times as the sun is setting??? I dunno. Anybody??? Njugle
The PPRuNe posts seemd to suggest it was visible late afternoon+early evening. I didna see any info on duration other than that. Stargazers?
Sudden Stop
One thing I would say to anybody thinking about braving the cold to look for it - when it's visable, it's really easy to spot. Look out to the west, if you can't see it almost straight away, give up and try again some other time!

PoolHaddock
I had a look in clear skies at about 6(ish) from Yell. Unfortunately, I couldn't see it. Maybe if you were on da westside you might have had more luck, as there was a small hill to the west of where I was. Vexed I missed it. PoolHaddock
According to "Wild Garlic" on that^ site, to the east at dawn might be a good time to have a look for it. It should be visible just before sunrise, and just after sunset on a clear horizon (hopefully!).
Njugle
Have you seen the forecast?
PoolHaddock
I've no seen the forecast, but I have a feeling I might be hearing it drooshing against my bedroom window right noo... or maybe... *runs off to see if "drooshing" noise is actually caused by galactic comet tail space dust hitting window* *returns to computer* I think du's maybe right Njugle.
