LandRover S2a
Are these auctions still running?Anyone any idea of how frequently they are run?I'm moving into a new house in the next 3 weeks so am on the lookout for things to fill it.Thanks
Ghostrider
^^^ They're run as and when enough items have been entered to make holding one viable, not on any set timetable. Check the lineage Ads in the Shetland Times, it'll be in those somewhere, used to always be under "Auctioneers Announcements". Sales are usually advertised at least 10 days ahead, or they used to be. MuckleJoannie
You could also try the Shetland Scrapstore at Gremista opposite the power station for second hand furniture

LandRover S2a
Well I went to the recent auction and what an evening out it was too Managed to get a few things for the house plus some other stuff from Scrapstore. Got most of the "major" items now and for not a lot of money either. I went to HH for a bed, chest of drawers and coffee table and came home with all of that PLUS a Singer sowing machine, a picture of a Lifeboat and a map of Shetland ?!?!?!?!?Oh and I went to the Auld Skool (sp) shop in Aith on Sunday and got a bunk bed frame for the princely sum of £2.50 in their half price sale. All I need now is a gas cooker, hoover and big TV for the living room - keep on looking.
