Consisting of a jaw dropping, awe inspiring mash up of familiar tracks all remixed in a hard-tekk style and then mixed together across 4 decks alongside re-edits of the biggest tracks (playing over 50 tracks an hour) with added deck trickery that would impress even the most skilled deck technition! Crowned the ‘La Roux of harddance’ by Mixmag in their recent full page feature on this future headliner and’ the 2 Many DJ’s of harddance’ by Dj Mag, Bootek has been heavily featured in the press throughout 2009 with articles and features in Mixmag, M8 magazine, Core mag and support on numerous websites worldwide including Creamfields, Planet Love, Dontstayin and Harderfaster. Smashing onto the hardance scene in March 2008 at the once infamous Tidy Weekender, Bootek has gone to take the on world by storm with monumental 4 deck sets at superclubs such as Goodgreef, Inside Out, Escape, Storm, Frantic, Pams House as well as International re-nound festivals including Dance Valley, Coloursfest and Atomik Weekender. Along with a debut tour of Asia taking in Tokyo, Nagoya and Seoul & trips to Ibiza & Norway! With over 40 releases over the past 5 years shifting more than 60,000 units globally, Bootek is already cemented in the dj boxes of many A-list djs, ranging all the way from techno dj’s such as Space Dj’s, Dave the Drummer & Chris Liberator right through to the harder edge djs such as Lisa Lashes, Tidy Boys, Kutski, Alex Kidd, Andy Whitby. Even some crossover dj’s such as Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules & Agnelli & Nelson are picking up tracks to play worldwide! Bootek has been smashing up the Airwaves globally for a few years now with numerous releases featured on Judge Jules & Kutski’s BBC Radio 1 shows on a weekly basis! Even some crossover dj’s such as Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules & Agnelli & Nelson are picking up tracks to play worldwide! sorry to pick holes in what you say but what exactly do you mean when you say "Harder Edge"? i have to say this looks like it will be another top night anorthernsoul, its always good to see different dj's such as bootek who do mixes like soulwax and optimo, mixing old songs with new uplifting beats. this could just possibly be one of the most original nights for a long time. you get my praise for bringing bootek up here Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If he's mixing up 50 songs per hour then i'm sure there will be something for everyone!! I agree that this should be something new and original which should have a broad appeal, i personally can't wait to see how he keeps 4 decks going simultaneously!! anorthernsoul Posted March 24, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 24, 2011 Phil York has confirmed a second night in Shetland and will be playing at the Aith Hall on Saturday 16th April from 9.30pm - 1am with support from DJ G Whizz. This will be a different set from the Bootek gig on the Friday at Norscot. For the Aith gig Phil will be playing one of his famous hard house sets which has made him one of the top DJ's in the UK in this field.
