I remember reading a book written by a US doctor re diet and he stated that the first heart attack many years ago left the doctors bamboozled...so rare. Heart attacks took off at around the same time as processed foods took off, especially cheap breads and the like.

 

If you want to lose weight forget the gym (although it does help) give up all breads, butter, marge & confectionary (sweets, crisps etc) and watch the weight fall off. Giving up bread is a good idea for sure. Say goodbye to heartburn too.

Regular exercise is good and it doesn't have to be the gym.

As for bread. Do what I do and bake your own. It's easy.

If you really want to loose weight, don't eat so much.
