MrBump Posted June 3, 2016 Report Share Posted June 3, 2016 Hello all, I'm James from Manchester currently and myself and my better half are hoping to move to Shetland within the next couple of years. We need to do some actual scouting and visiting up there first, but neither of us mind bad weather or the dark as we've been told to expect lots of that in winter. We were hoping to come up sooner, just got sidetracked with operations on myself and buying our first house down here. One thing we need to know is what is Shetland like for jobs? I've got more of a farming and computing background and mrs is rather good at her IT work, testing systems etc, but we think there isn't too much of that in Shetland from what we have seen from jobs advertised. We check almost daily the shetnews and shetlandtimes websites, but nothing really suitable comes up.
