Well done to all the organisers who put on a fantastic event which will hopefully happen again sometime in the future. Also I thought the barstaff did a tremendous job considering the amount of folk and I have to say i didn`t have to wait too long. What do people expect?

Seen the mighty AC/DC at Wembley last friday and they were amazin! I was heading out of the standing area for a slash, seen this guy heading towards me with a tray of drinks then I heard a voice say "Ah boy dere he cem!" Turned around and dir wis a guy fae whalsay! Its a small world!!

We were at a party in east voe on new years eve and just after the bells we seen two orange lights about 30ft apart moving over blacksness towards trondra where they went out of site, didn`t have a clue what they were!!

Having been at the meeting on saturday night I feel that Colin`s comments on here are out of order, insensitive and inaccurate. The majority of people I have spoken to and who were at the meeting agreed with the decision, however in situations like this there will always be people who agree otherwise. The Fire Festival has been cancelled end of story and will go ahead next year. I would also like to ask the moderators to lock this thread as I feel the debate could get out of hand.

Annider reason why I hate the Lerick Up Helly aa is dat you get folk lik desel wha hiv niver been oot in the country side shows as doo pits it, yet still tinks dat dir poorer tae da real Up Helly aa, how does doo ken? I ken a few folk dat have come oot in squads dat hiv ony iver been oot in da Lerick een and dey say dey canna believe how good it is. In fact dis years Jarl Stephen Mouat wis oot in Michael Johnson`s Jarl squad a few year back and hed a great time. So dunna knock it till your tried it.

Have you ever tried one of the Country side shows? I go out in the Fire Festival every year and its the best wknd of the year. Ive been out in the so called REAL Up Helly aa and it dusna come close to the Fire Festival.

I managed to get 2 for Manchester Looking like their going to announce more UK dates shortly and I would imagine Glasgow will be one. I got mine through the official fan club it costs around $40 to join but you get a better chance of securing tickets through the fan club pre-sale.
