  2. Here is a link to an Ep Review http://www.clickmusic.com/articles/12092/The-Red-Show---Little-Miss-Lynch-Mob-EP.html and here is said review:) Scottish rockers The Red Show have produced an affecting tribute to modern rock music as well as harking back to some great classic influences. On the opening track 'Dirty Blue' the band utilise reflective lyrics alongside White Stripes-esque melodies, pounding drums and seriously tasty riffs for a powerful start. 'Meek And Uncivilised' rocks hard and incorporates some pure punk influences, including The Offspring. With a particularly entertaining chorus, this whole tune should become a strong live favourite over time. Next up, 'Anything New' is a softer affair that relies on indie melodies, rolling drums and raw vocals. A simple but emotive structure that reflects the strong alt-rock influences of the three-piece, this powerful and provocative track finds itself somewhere between Cake and The Pixies. The final tune on this offering is 'Post-Apocalyptic Honey Bee', a stripped back effort that uses acoustic sounds and instrumentation to convey real love and emotion until one minute in, where things get a little more chaotic for a vibrant chorus that recalls the energy of early Idlewild. The standout of the record, the schizophrenic tones pull you in for a four-minute sweaty dance-off. Straight-up, no-frills rock - there's a real grit and power to this lot that will no doubt see them evolve and thrive as we head into 2010. Dom Smith Click music

  16. "Whether they like it or not, The Red Show probably will never fail to be compared to those colourful upstarts The White Stripes. A guitar/drums duo with bluesy influences will eternally be likened to Jack and Meg White, but for all it's worth, it isn't always a bad label to have hovering over your head. This unsigned band from Glasgow have released their debut EP 'Black Cats' and it's certainly got that combustible vitality. 'Backbone' opens the EP, a three and a half minute concoction of energy which centres around an earthy muted guitar riff, which helps provide space for the vocals to unleash their expertly constructed melody. 'Doing Well' enjoys some straight up rock riffing, with the drums dynamically consummating with the rustic sounding guitar. 'Nurse' follows this trend, throwing in some absorbing vocal melodies and wordplay for good measure too. It's sometimes a bit dirty sounding, with the drums taking a seat way back there in the mix, but glossy production and this type of music making don't usually go hand in hand. Something to take home from this EP is the title track, a lilting story of a big black cat, dog and a blind man amongst other venerable characters. Mainman Gareth Goodlad has obviously used his artistic licence here, making for a slightly outlandish and quaint lyric, but it's fun nonetheless. And so is the whole EP; it doesn't exactly tread upon new ground, but with meaty rock riffs and a laid back blues tinge, this is an enchanting listen" http://www.clickmusic.com/articles/10214/The-Red-Show---Black-Cats-EP.html www.myspace.com/theredshowuk

  21. Unity 11 days ago Every single man, women and child on Earth are bound by certain truths, we all need food and water we all need some where to be safe we all need love we will all die and we all wonder how we got here! its is this last one that causes so much trouble, for in it is the power to control everything! Religion was born out of our lack of understanding and is fueled by our fear that life is not special early humans looked toward the Sun An entity they could not fathom but a bringer of light and warmth. in an attempt to understand the Sun they stamped a lable on it...GOD They would pray to God and when God was happy crops would grow and the days would be warm and long, when God was unhappy a coldness would sweep the land! Some where else another tribe of humans had started crafting boats and had learned to navigate the oceans by using the stars and the moon unable to understand what they were they labled them Gods for they guided them through their lives! Some where else.....lets say Wales another tribe saw the balance between the Sun and the Moon, the sun would light up their days and grow their crops, while the moon and the stars would guide them at night what do you think happend when these tribes met??? Well the first two tried to kill each other and they both thought third took drugs!!! As we have grown as a race all our old gods have fallen by the wayside because we are slowly beging to make sense of existance and we dont need to give it the easy answer..."God an all powerfull being so powerful that we cant even imagine.....so stop imagining!" Most bibles are guide to leading good lives, ones of resposibility and kindness, created by man, we should be proud of them and take alot of what they have to teach. but they were written when humanity was just kicking off. in truth we have so much still to learn, but to be seperated by religion is retarded. Religion is a device of control! i know that not all religions are the same and that alot of them are watered down but at its core religion is the last instatution of ignorance The last thing i would ever want or hope for is for us all to agree and belive in the same thing.... we should find UNITY in or differences for they make us who we are we should always ask questions we should always question those answers we should never be afraid of any out come when we pause and stop askin rot sets in and the demons among us find ways to control maybe we aren't unique maybe there is no God, heaven or hell, maybe we dont have souls and love is just a chemical reaction maybe not! maybe we are childern of alah or the souls of an alien race trapped in human form, maybe God sent his only son to earth to die for our sins maybe not! Always ask questions always question the answers! oh yeah.......... i hate eggs!!!!
  22. oh and we are playing the BOX tomorrow if anyone is about in Glasgow!! its a free gig be there or about half 8
