  1. Thanks ringostar, stoichkov be quiet this is a fitba results thread. We just want the results of the fitba!
  2. What are the fixtures this year in the Southern League?
  3. Well stoichkov, how can Delting, Scalloway or Whitedale gain anything from hammering these "weaker" teams. I think Delting. Whalsay, Whitedale would prefer a chellenge on a Friday night rather than the current set-up. You can't blame Ness, Burra or Yell when they simply don't have strong enough squads.
  4. I typed in the names of the three Southern League Managers? I got Hound, Numpty and Chibber!
  5. http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/tv/chewinthefat/neds/ned_names.shtml Try and find out your ned name?
  6. Penfold, you should try a few Cunningsbauro Legends. Bobby Halcrow = BINHOSA Billy Adamson = ADAMSACA SANTOS
  7. Anyone know how ness are doing and what the team is? Is it true the Ness United strike force is Kyle Malcolmson (17) and Alwyn Flaws(17) ?
  8. Thistle 3 v 2 Whalsay, league decider in 2000 was the best A-league game ever i've seen. Shetland 1 v 0 Isle of Man in 2005 was a maybe a better match than the final. Brian Flea (Cunningsburgh) v Kevin Flea (Southend) in the Southern League was a classic!
  9. A draw would be good. I think Scotland can achieve a draw against Italy. Scotland should beat Faroe away and Lithuania at home. SCOTLAND to win at Hampden, v Ukraine and Italy. SCOTLAND to lose away at France and draw in Georgia. That adds up to 26 points which must be enough?
  10. SUPERB! COME ON THE SCOTS! 12 POINTS FROM 15! STICK THAT UP YOUR ass SHOTO "MR BEAN" AVERLADZE! How bad are England? How often do we here these words associated with England players "Great" "World Class" and "Special". These are the players who were going to win the World Cup. There is not much English talent coming through in the premiership. I think Scotland have a better future than England. John Terry wants £150,000 a week as well as the other "Superstars". I think John Montgomery would do as good a job as John Terry.
  11. It's the most valuable comment on this form! Does anyone know how ness are doing in pre-season? Someone told me they have a few friendly games coming up. I heard today that the Southern League would continue for players who can't play A-league. In the long term these players will play B league football next year for Ness B. Also, it might be used as a winter league during the long winter months. I think using it as a winter league would be a great idea. Football on the mainland is played throughout the winter months on astro pitches at night and early Kick-offs at 14.00, mostly Satardays. Most players would rather play 11-aside competitive football during the winter rather than 5-aside training in some games hall. Ness A & B during the Summer and Southern League during the winter!
  12. My opinion has changed NORTnSOOTH. Stoichkov made some good points and so did flawsy4. I am a genuine fan of the Southern League. There is nothing better than watching the Southern League. It's better than the A-league on entertainment value. It's a great laugh! My point was that no A league players should play in it.
  13. Does anyone know what has happened to the Southern League? Penfold, has gone to the meeting but got soo drunk he has forgot what was said. All he said was "it will be in the shetland times". Come on penfold, you will have to let us know because we are genuine Southern League fans.
  14. Nope, you are wrong with that comment. The best ever Sandwick player is Kevin "tibby" Malcolmson. People go on about the "Cruyff turn" but the "tibby turn" is far more superior to anything i've seen. He is a genuine great player and leader of the Sandwick team.
  15. oh yes it has (That is what some bloke from Sandwick told me). Anyway, Sandwick men always talk B*****S.
  16. The Southern League has come to an end . Drinking will start earlier .
  17. Just give us a full report from the AGM Penfold. cheers.
  18. I told you before i can't make the meeting. I WANT to go but i can't. It's the other players who prefer sitting on the fence i am talking about. Anyway, what would be the strongest starting line up for Cunningsburgh if the League goes ahead. Will they cope with the great Sandwick team or the dominent Southend side.
  19. Why not have a vote, get the managers of the three teams to ask all the players if they want a Southern League or not? Seems more fair for the people who are scared to voice to their opinion at the agm. no one can argue with three teams wanting the league to continue if the players are willing to turn up and the A team players stick to the A team.
  20. Well keep it going then guys. All i know is that many players hate playing in the Southern League and gain nothing from it and that is a FACT. There is no way from a couple of opinions on this website show what most people think is the best way ahead. Why have a meeting about the southern league when you are sure soo many people want the league to continue?
