muttonchops
i recently bought a 50" plasma but not from up here as the guys in bolts dont have a clue!!!! i went in there and asked them if i paid cash for there plasma on display now how much discount would they give me?the reply was no no we canna do yun!!!so that evening i got the same plasma with a wall bracket and 3yrs guarantee for £600 cheaper than bolts electrical. so wth attitudes like those guys in that shop its no wonder people buy on line and not local. Heimdal
The guys who work in the shop just work there, they don't own it, so wont have the authority to give discounts, so you can't really blame them.

ISOT
Does it not say it all when an electrical retail shop uses a quarter of its space to sell garden furniture?
Frances144
I hope someone from the Hydro is reading this thread. It's a shop I decided long ago I would not visit again unless they have a serious change of attitude. Sir, I would draw your attention to this news item. http://www.shetland-news.co.uk/news_08_2007/Ponies%20suffered%20horrific%20neglect.htm
Muppet
^^ Very astute of you Frances! Although not a factor in my original decision as it was before his time there, it certainly put the final nail in the coffin for my association with that shop. Muppet
Just been along Commercial street this morning. The Hydro shop seems to be the source of some mirth and merriement! I had a look across to see what people were laughing at. The shop has one handwritten sign in the window saying "Sale prices - Saturday specials" and next to it on the door is a similar one saying "Closed Saturday" And of course the shop is shut! Ah well! Just the service i'd come to expect anyhow I guess!
