JAStewart
Anyone Bottom/Mayall & Edmonson fans? I must watch at least one or two episodes of Bottom every night.. its just pure class. Mayall is the best physical actor ever.
Sambasheep
Got every episode and every live video and been at the live show once. Absolute genious. Rik Mayall is a complete comedy god. Young Ones also class and his turn as Lord Flasheart on Blackadder was hilarious.
Snaz
Bottom was never as good as The Young ones. Filthyrich & Catflap was another sitcom I think the pair of them were in.
JAStewart
I thought that The Young Ones was to anarchic to be funny, it just had like, little plot and was not funny.
Styles
Bottom is great, some of the episodes are classics. Allways loved Ritchies xmas dinner and the vodka margerine.
sassermaet
Bottom was good, but to me it was less memorable than the Young Ones. For example, a quote from when they go on University Challenge and they're reading up that world records book on the train: Rick: 'The world's stupidest bottom burp? Vyvyan, Britain?' Neil: 'It says Rick here...' I have both series on DVD.
JAStewart
Rik: Eddie, have you got the Union Jack Sandwiches?Ade: No.. its just the way I was walking. Rik: Eddie, are you packed?Ade: Yep. Never had any complaints from the ladies! Rik: What will we need for the holiday... Oh! Sun tan lotion!Ade: Now Ritchie, we're going to Bridlington, well, Doncaster, I hardly think we'll be needing sun tan lotionRik: Ah yes, yes, yes Drizzle Oil!Ade: Gloom juice!Rik: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes WIND SMEAR! A-HAHAH.Ade: Wind smear? I don't think we need to take the content of your underpants!
TeeAyBee
Bottom is great, some of the episodes are classics. Allways loved Ritchies xmas dinner and the vodka margerine. The burglar sellotaped to the ceiling was my favourite moment - especially as they'd taped up his bobble-hat too!
TeeAyBee
Bottom was good, but to me it was less memorable than the Young Ones. But still more memorable than "Filthy, Rich and Catflap".
sassermaet
I've never seen 'Filthy Rich and Catflap', so I'm going to agree. I've watched Bottom when it's been on Dave a few times, I'll need to watch it again I think...

TeeAyBee
Did anyone see Guest House Paradiso?I nearly peed my breeks laughing. The opening scenes with Eddie, out cold, riding the moped towards work! Cracked me up.

Kephas4
I remember watching The Young Ones first time round as a bairn. Like a lot of comedy at the time (at that age) I laughed at the slapstick. It was only after coming back from Uni' that I saw a repeat and thought, "Gowd Almighty, I've met these people!" I'd defy anyone to go into further education, or even spend any length of time in a university town without coming across at least one example of each of the archetypes established by The Young Ones... JAStewart
I wasn't such a fan of the Young Ones. Bottom always did it for me.
