  1. As they say "too many cooks spoil the broth".
  2. I dont think a lot of these people can be rehabilitated no matter how much help you give them they will throw it back in your face. Im all for more community work for none seriouse crimes. But make it actual hard work, instead of just painting a wall etc. For example I was told that criminals doing community service would not pick rubbish off Shetlands beaches as they didnt like being out in bad weather etc and would not turn up. This would ruin the targets and cause hassel so they were given easy jobs they would do to give everyone an easy life! I think they could put people in jails for shorter periods if they made the jails hell on earth so that it scared the crap out of anyone going back. As people I knbow who have been have said it was ok but so boreing. Surley killers should also have their human rights stripped from them and have no recorse to any privelages the rest of us have. They should be locked away in a dark room on their own for ever. With no human contact and only their cells 4 walls to look at.
  3. Hope the boys are reunited with their dad for a very long time soon.
  4. I hate things like this as it normally attracts weirdos or undesirables to Shetland who then make things more like where they came from.
  5. I find it horribly ironic that they may have been the catalist for the accident when thats what they are supposidly trying to prevent.
  6. Im all for vigilantes in some regards. I think the police are as frustrated as some people as they have had to deal with the same people the whole time as they never seem to get a severe punishment. They have said to friends of mine years back to get one individual up a back lane on his own and teach him a lesson, as they knew otherwise the person would get away with it and were fed up dealing with them.
  7. In a small community like Shetland if you try to stand up to these people them and their mates are out to get you every chance they can. Especially when you have to wait for a year for a case to get to court. I have had an individuals mates try and intimidate me into not giveing evidence against him and spend the whole time every time I was out looking over my shoulder and not being on my own. It can be quite intimidateing. I didnt give in. But still to this day have to be wary when I see certain individuals and stay out of their way. The whole system does not work to protect the victim.
  8. I have been attacked totally unprovoced by much the same group I think (weird how its never one on one but 6 on 1 eh!). Ended up going to court ages later with the main guys mates before that trying to put the frightners on me. All set for court when they pled guilty the day before so i was told i did not have to turn up. This ment my side was never heard and they were able to say a total pack of lies about what happened and got off with a slap on the wrist! justic for you. I am physically scared for life from it!
  9. I'm one of them. I would never describe myself as vegetarian though. I do eat some dead animals. Just not land based ones. I allways wondered where insects stand? Would you eat them?
  10. I see the people up for attempted murder are sooth moothers (looks like a mother and her 2 sons), at least these people were not Shetlanders and just scum her visiting! But i agree that there are certain elements her in Shetland that seem to assualt inocent people the whole time and get away with it. Due to light sentences and the fear of people standing up to them. Hope Michael makes a full recovery. I would rather the police spent most of their effort cracking down on this type of activity than other.
  11. Are they these veggies that some how can eat fish? Never could get my head around that logic!
  12. I have vauge memories of watching a live action Mr Magoo on the boat (other terrible films i saw on the boat were batman and robin and godzilla), but thankfully the stress of the situation means my mind has blocked out the film, all i have left is a feeling of dread when Im forced to think about it. I stupidly didnt watch Rocky 4 for the 300th time as one of my so called friends tired of Rocky 4 (I think he may have a mental defect at this stupid suggestion) and why didnt we watch Rocky 5. I had seen it once a long time ago and grudgenly gave in as could not remember what all happened in it. All I can say is that by the end I decided never again and have "misplaced" that DVD from my Rocky boxed set. Its Rocky 4 or nothing!
  13. Weekend at Bernies 2! My eyes were like your avatar Twerto.
  14. I allways found that just staying drunk helps.

  17. Just gave me an idea for a film sequal to Snakes on a Plane, Snakes in an Airport! That would make them more fun.
  18. You have to wait for me to say: "You fight like a Dairy Farmer..."
  19. I watched V for Vendetta at the weekend. It was good. But still prefer the orgional graphic novel though. V has turned into a freedom fighter instead of it not being so clear cut.
  20. Is that a three headed monkey behind you?
