  1. This is quite true. The fact is, Celtic supporters need Rangers to go to the wall so they can bask in the glory of winning championships again, it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact Rangers may or may not have broken any laws, whatever they may tell you! Nothing to do with Rangers "winning" titles by fraudlent and unlawful means then? Which seasons are you reffering to because the last poster who said that got shot down in flames and hasn't posted since! Rangers are due in court this November defending a tax bill from 2001 to 2010 - where they are accused of paying players their salaries without paying tax i.e. 40% less than the going rate.If found guilty of tax evasion, then they will effectively be defrauding the British tax payer. Okay, so, if this is the 'real' reason you have such strong feelings about this case can I ask you a question? Have you ever paid someone ie a mechanic, joiner, painter, electrician to do a small job for you off the books and paid them in cash or is that something fo another thread?
  2. Going to go for a look tomorrow I think, looking forward to seeing Geordie Robertson's stuff and Paparwark, not really fussed about the rest.
  3. Anybody been? Is it worth a look?
  4. I've just rented out a property, i think you'll find as far as renting to Sullom workers things have dried up since the accomodation block was built. I advertised on the SVT noticeboards for 6 weeks and had no joy, stuck in on Shetlink classifieds and had it rented out a few days later.
  5. Here's another link to maybe try and balance things out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufrdeS5CwsU
  6. Did we not get a 5p reduction last year and the week before it was implemented fuel went up 5p????????
  7. A 6p rise tomorrow!!! I noticed at Sound Service Station today that unleaded was now £1.51.99per litre, sure it wasn't that last week when i fuelled up
  8. To answer your question about Whalsay the job prospects are about zero, apart from a fish factory. If I was you I would think twice about moving to Shetland because the golden years are over and the financial chickens are coming home to roost, especially with the Shetland Council(450 jobs to go). What you haven't been told or seen on tv is that Shetland has a serious drugs and alchohol problem. But if you want to bring children into that, that's your choice. The weather here is dreadful 80% of the year. I live in Lerwick which is (on) the mainland. A kid is a baby goat. The cold reality is that as many people leave Shetland every year as what come and for many it's because life here just wasn't what they thought it would be. I'm just trying to bring a bit of reality to your "dream" but as you will probably see I'll get shot down in flames for doing that.... I won't shoot you down Kavi, that is the reality in my opinion as well. Kazza, seems to be plenty of work in the building trade at the moment so i think there should be something out there for a plumber and the same for a chef and nurse. Events co-ordinator(is that a real job ) i'm not so sure. Whalsay is a great island but i don't think job prospects are very good, someone will correct me if they know different. Goodluck
  9. So you are happy enough to use the free service that they provide but not willing to shop there. If we all took your attitude then there would be no camera centre and nowhere for you to drop of your chemicals. If you live locally then a healthy local trade helps you and all your neighbours.
  10. BEWARE!!!! Will make you cry http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/The-cheapest-petrol-world-yahoofinanceuk-978605645.html
  11. So it does Infiltrator, thats the 2nd time i've misread something on here today, think I focused/raged more on the 'no one arrested, no charges brought' part and forgot about what came previous, gona shut this computer and myself down for 24hrs
  12. Thats probably it, sad bloody day I say
  13. http://www.shetnews.co.uk/news/1761-drugs-found-on-lerwick-trawler.html No one arrested and no charges brought............How the hell does that work???
  14. I agree with your point Scoots regarding the 'social responsibility', but thats a whole other thread. As far as calling the police goes I suppose it's a case of different strokes for different folks. I wouldn't have a problem calling them if it was something that was increasingly pissin me off and I didn't feel confident enough to confront the person doing the 'illegal' parking. At the end of the day they are breaking the law and thats why we have police enforcement, granted, it's probably not high up their list of crimes but it's a crime no less.
  15. Ignore the above, just read the title again. You'll get Keith(Manson) on 07894665737 if Scoots hasn't already sorted you out. 2 good guys who'll be able to do the job in hand
  16. Someone feel free to correct me here but i'm sure Manson & Hay haven't been on the go for a good few years. The Manson guy left years ago and went to work for WAG Construction, I think the Hay man carried the firm on then went to work for Hunter & Morrison where he is still to this day.
  17. quote] hahaha that's funny. i park in the mother and children space somtimes but not since a woman shouted at me for it..... i thought id be ok since it was 10.30 pm and wouldnt of thought there would be many under 5yr olds up at that time?? then again give some people an inch and they will take a mile. If I go to Tesco before 8am or after 9pm then I park in those spaces, anytime in between I respect that they are needed for their intended purpose, for parents with under 5's. I'm not gona be discriminated against because i don't have a child if i turn up at the times stated above As for parking in disabled spaces, if you see someone do it and you are aware they have no right to then politely make them aware, if you are not confident in doing so then call the police, simple as.
  18. Tickets were moved to online sales due to the low numbers queueing at High Level, this has already been explained. People are going to miss out it's as simple as that!!!
  19. 100% agree with this, keep up the good work Davie
  20. I've not checked but that may be against Shetlink T&C's??? I agree though, it's a big problem, I'm not disabled myself but it makes my piss boil when i see it.
