judgeknott
Without knowing any of the facts, perhaps other people have more points because they too have problems? It maybe of course the DPH which needs to upgrade their points system as well. Teenie3
What are the catagories of the 3 [/u]waiting lists? Why not just one?
Boris
I sympathise with your predicament but I think it's unfair to criticise the Council and their staff. Right to buy means the Councils stock of social housing is rapidly reducing each year. On top of this house prices are high and mortgages difficult to get so waiting lists keep growing. The Council then have to meet targets set to them by Scottish Government and this dictates which applicants they have to prioritise. It's not personal. It's high time the Government put an end to right to buy and start to build up the stock of social housing. It's a sad reflection on todays society quotas are more imortant than individuals, but if youwant someone to blame I would start with Maggie Thatcher and right to buy. hoosn
all departments are de-humanised, stripped of any common sense approach and dictated to from hollyrood, sad fact , but the housing dept here are actually very good and am sure they are doing their best within the wonderful rules
