Dagfinn
Hi, has anyone read this book about Shetland? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Shetland-Parliament-constituency-Shetlandic-Eysteinsson/dp/613006912X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1269336021&sr=8-1 It's expensive, and the topics I'm afraid might just be a repetition of information that I've already read before. Anyone read it? Is this a first edition (8 Oct 2009) or a reprint?
GT
No I haven't read it but £41 for a 128 page paperback I don't think I will be - also if you zoom into the inset on the left on the Amazon site (with the picture) and read the green sticker it makes a reference to the content being Wikipedia articles!!!! In fact if you click on the links to the authors you'll find they've done a whole series of grossly overpriced paperbacks based on Wikiepida. Fifi
Alphascript publishing 'scam' - http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/wiki/foundation/180987 As someone says there, you "shouldn't submit anything to Wikipedia that you're not comfortable basically releasing into the public domain." Cheeky though.

They just wan to make money from something other people contributed with. Cheap if you ask me
