Has anyone else had the misfortune to be telephoned twice by the EST wanting to know how well they did and participating in the telephone survey? Mine went something like this:-

EST: Hello, can we speak to Mr ?

Me: I'm the wife.

EST: Oh, we have to speak to the husband, his name is on the form.

Me: I booked all the appointments, joint application, etc., blah, blah.

EST: Sorry, has to be him.

Me: Rant about how wives are not men's chattels, etc., spoke to Manager.

EST: Apologised, started LONG telephone survey. After about the 8th question ...

Me: Losing the will to live.

EST: Is your electricity spend £0-£50 per month, £50-100, £100 - £150, £200 - £250.

Me: It is within the £100 - £150 bracket.

EST: Sorry, I have to give you the rest of the options. £250 - £300.

Me: Put phone down.

A week later ...

EST: Hello, I'm calling from the EST. Can we speak to Mr ?. He started a telephone interview but never completed it.

Me: You called last week. It was me.

EST: Oh, I can only go by the information on the screen, blah, blah.

Me: Suggest you get it amended and no, I do not wish to complete the rest of the questionnaire and explained why.

Now we were interested in the interest-free loans for an air heat pump. The advisor said we could get up to £8k. It transpires after speaking to contractors up here that it is very much hit and miss as to whether they are regarded as "green" and some applications do not get accepted. On top of that, apparently they are capping the loans at £2k.

All in all, it took about 3 months to have the first visit, 2 months for the actual advisor to come and we're still waiting for his recommendation report which would have been with us within a couple of days (Over 2 weeks now).

Total shambles.
