Para Handy
Fresh Strawberry Syrup Ingredients: 1 quart fresh strawberries, washed, hulled and quartered 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup orange juice 1/2 teaspoon grated orange rind Directions: Mix together all of the ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat until the mixture simmers. Cover and stir occasionally for 18-20 minutes or until the strawberries break down and the sauce thickens. Serve warm or cold.Or Rosehip Syrup may work

Zollie05
Does hersheys strawberry syrup have caffeine?I can't have caffeine after 3:00 every day, but I like to drink a little milk to help me sleep. I wanted something to flavor it a little, and like Hershey's strawberry syrup. I want to know if it had caffeine.
Zollie05
It's probably fresh strawberries, sliced and laid on top of the desserts. Then you melt some apricot or strawberry jam on low heat, then brush the berries w/ the jam. Will fimr back up and become shiny as it cools. To make syrup, such as for sundaes, slice up your fresh strawberries, mash a little bit, and toss w/ sugar. Amt of sugar depends upon the sweetness of berries, but this time of year, a goodly amt of sugar is probably required. Maybe 1 cup sugar for a quart of berries? Toss well and let sit in fridge. If you're in a hurry, you can heat up the berries on the stove, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, let cool.Ingredients1 quart fresh strawberries, sliced $1/2 cup sugar $1/4 cup orange liqueur or orange juice $1 teaspoon grated orange rind $PreparationCombine all ingredients in a saucepan, and let stand 30 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until warm.
