MuckleJoannie
A group of naval Âenthusiasts are planning to build a seafaring replica of one of the vessels used in the perilous journeys to and from Nazi-occupied Norway. This boat wasn't part of the Shetland Bus but did visit Lerwick on its way to Norway to pick up agents. http://www.scotsman.com/business/media-and-leisure/return-to-service-for-shetland-bus-buffs-1-2682401 You can read about its visit to Shetland and the trip to Norway here http://mtb718.co.uk/Cygnus.html
Scorrie
Aye, I read about this the other day. It would take a frightening amount of money to bring it to fruition but it would be a cracking thing to go to sea on. I'm putting my name down for crew ASAP........ Seems a shame about the planned power plant but I suppose they have to be practical.MTB 718 :- http://mtb718.co.uk/ I tink I feel da birse startin tae rise !
