I'm surprised by that, I thought the Shetland flag had been a regognized one for a long time. It's a shame there was no official recognition of the first anniversary. Especially as Shetlanders (born and bred and incomers) have a fairly strong sense of identity. It would surely be a good excuse for a spree if nothing else. Oh, I forgot, Up Helly Aa dominates all at this time of year.

After the recent outrage from Muslims over the cartoons in a Danish paper there seems to be a huge surge in anger towards Muslims. Every non Muslim I talk to is at the end of their tethers with frustration and a feeling of enough is enough. Also, if you look on any chat site concerning the subject, the comments are very strong. I can't help feeling threatened by the Islamic movement and I can't help having some very anti Muslim feelings. I don't like this feeling and I would like to know how other people feel about this subject.

I read any paper that happens to be lying around. The tabloids are easier to manage when you don't have a huge table all to yourself.

Yes but you have to be ready to jump off pretty quick or you may end up in casualty having spikes removed from your buttocks. It's advisable to hire an expert if you're considering trying to hatch one of these at home. Porcupines are particularly knowledgable. Hang on a minute, how do you know they hatch? You've been sitting on one yourself haven't you. How did it go?

And another thing, there's no point sitting on one. It won't hatch. They become infertile the moment they're removed from the nest.

It is indeed true. The coconuts we buy from shops are in fact bears eggs which are stolen along with porridge while the bears are out catching fish or walking in the forest. Collecting bears eggs is a well paid job due to the risk of being caught and punished. I worked a full season as a collector and it was character building stuff I can tell you.

Pineapple on it's own is amazing. I bought one the other day and it was a bit of a chore to get the skin off but well worth it. Sod the pizza.

Hooray for swearing, it's great! Swearing is cool and funny and shows a high intellect and a good vocabulary. It relieves stress too. Putting in ****s only draws more attention to it.

If cannabis was legal and the government could get tax money from the sale of it they wouldn't care if it had proven negative side effects or even if it could be fatal for users. Alcohol and tobacco are both drugs that are proven to seriously harm or kill people but they remain as legal as ever. Perhaps the tax money from these two all goes towards the health service to treat smoking and drink related illnesses. If that is the case then surely it would make sense to the government to make money from the legal sale of cannabis since it's use wouldn't result in illness and over crowded hospitals.

I get quite upset about corner folding. I believe in bookmarks. I need to get out more. Does anyone think corner folding is acceptable?
