  1. I don't think much of the kennels for the dogs, traveled down to Aberdeen with a wee dog and it was severly traumatised I had even got medication from the vet to calm him down, but I'm afraid it didn't help, I'm not surprised as the noise down there is frighting for the poor things. I don't think the kennels are big enough.
  2. I think we need to worry about the number of young people who seem to be getting Staffie's they can be a dangerous dog same as the Pit it depends on who is bringing up the dog, while out walking my dog not any breed I met this guy with a staffie and it growled and showed it's teeth at my dog the guy just kept on walking pulling the dog this guy didn't seem bothered as if he seemed to enjoy the fact that his dog was aggresive. To many people are walking Staffie's without leads which should't be allowed if there dog tends to be aggresive also a person walking there dog had someone with a Staffie saying my dog could beat your dog. This is not what you get a dog for it is a pet and should not be aggresive. If a dog is brought up properly they will not be aggresive even Pitt's are the most affectionate dogs if they are brought up as a pet not a fighting dog. I also heard the rumour that a lot of these Staffie's are staffie crossed with Pitt.
  3. What happens if my dog turds after I have passed the first bin I still have to carry it to the next one and why should I have to take a route I don't want to do because the council are to greedy to spend a bit of money proving more bins they spend the money on other turd that most people don't want like that stupid roundabout at sound. When I stayed in Stirling they had a huge park one side of it was for walking your dog and the other end was for kids in the dog park they had dog bins about every 600 yards and they had people walking and watching and anyone caught not picking up was fined £100.00 Why can't the council provide a place like that for dog walkers instead of waisting money on projects like that rounabout which is good for nothing lets face it 70% of people in Shetland don't know how to use a roundabout you can actually see the terror in there faces as they try to go round it. All you get in Shetland is NO DOGS ALLOWED.
  4. Sorry love but to take a different root wouldn't help I stay up by lady's drive I want a walk not a marathon. It seems you must not be a dog walker have you actually counted the doggy bins in this town, well I'll try, one at Hoofields, next top of the old north road next north lochside at clickimmin next the far end of south lochside, going intowards the town next at King Harold Street bottom of Town Hall brae next one that I know of up at the knab. So to avoid doing a Marathon which route would you suggest.
  5. With your concern for your laptop as someone said it might be clogged up with dust the best way to clean it is you get a can of air and it blows all the dirt away but if you would like to be save rather than sorry and don't know much about comps I would take it to Bill at the computer clinic across from the Bressey Ferry, he is very reasonable. Like the other person said who answered your query.
  6. QVC does an excellent board for a laptop it even has a fold out piece for if you want to use a mouse I use it with my laptop and it doesn't over heat sitting it on your knee is the worst you can do as this is generating heat from your body. It actually comes with a mouse for a laptop.
  7. As a dog owner and one who does pick up when my dog makes a mess, I would like to say that it makes me angry that people don't pick up after there dog as it reflects on people who do. i must say that if more dog bins were put up it may help and encourage people to pick up and stop dog fouling. When I walk my dog I dont wish to be carrying a bag of dog poo all the way which is what happens as from Burnside down to the roundabout along by the Shetland Hotel And back up the North Road it is at the top of the North Road before I can dispose of the dog poo. I have spoken to the council about more dog bins and the answer I got was there was no point as the drunk people at the weekend would vandalise them so the poor dog walker has to carry there dog poo for miles before they find a bin to dispose of it.
