  1. Richard Manuel - Georgia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjdbEr6spY0 One of the most talented musicians that ever lived. This is one of the few songs I could find him singing on YouTube.
  2. Hahaha! I've not even done anything tae this photo!!! This is a real photo! I canna believe it! [Edit] Too cheeky fir this site I think! [/Edit] Dunna worry, there's no really a photo. It was all a con... BY ME!!!! And joost a very peerie peerie fun!
  3. There's already a thread on this http://www.shetlink.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=482&start=0 Yippee... first time I've pointed a double-threader out... Sorry
  4. Please Steal McFly's Laundry.
  5. Mine came from the Thule. Some Shetlinkers were present at it's creation... infact, I think a Shetlinker coined it! Try it in Google. The 6th result and the 10th result are particularly relevent.
  6. Ha! I've seen that happen too... and was just about to post about it! Another time I saw someone come out of Somerfield and drive onto the exit of the roundabout, directly into oncoming traffic. There was at least one car that had to do a bit of a surprise-mid-roundabout-stop on that occassion. (Edit - Hold on... that's the same thing!) Another time I nearly ran someone ower who was on the wrong side of the road coming towards me on the blind bend just outside the police station... ... that person just escaped!
  7. Or only £3.36 fir enough of Somerfield's own brand brekkies fir him tae swim the trip on his own. The advantage with that is you only need tae buy an extra £4.50's worth of Kitty Kat on top of that tae travel on his back. Luggage isna a problem either, and it's usually fairly quiet.
  8. Poolhaddock's Firework Party may have been small scale, but he still beat Njugle's in almost every department. http://static.flickr.com/108/291588686_6ffc06ed22_o.jpg
  9. It's been a while. But I canna let d get away we yun! http://static.flickr.com/113/289266806_3bd4bc6e5e_o.jpg Njugle was so thrilled about being refered to as "the Guy"(yeah right!), his knowledge of history slipped a little.
  10. I had this song in my head all summer... only the version I had in my head was a poor quality copy with appaling midi guitars and stuff, and some poor soul singing along. It was living hell.... but quite good fun at the weekends! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjCj_2tuCTc
  11. That happened to a friend of mine. It was the Thule, and it was only because someone tore his boxer shorts off. He stood in the doorway and showed a few people, only to be ejected.
  12. I didna see ony o' dy poetry Darkstar! peeriebryan once told me - "PoolHaddock, every sentence you speak, every word you say, it pulls at my heartstrings like sweet poet-ray." ... and then he started weeping.
  13. Surely an aeroplane (or even a hot air balloon) would be the far more obvious answer, and as you say, the much cheaper option. I can't even begin to imagine the cost of fitting out a Frenchman with a passenger deck, not to mention having to pay tiny french flight staff. Surely these "flying French men" are fairly hard to come by? First time I've ever heard aboot it. The size and weight restrictions on the luggage have to be far more severe than on any commercial flights I know of?? And presumably they can only take one passenger at a time? Holy hell! 8O Sorry... couldna resist....
  14. I just got a lovely letter from the TV license guys. "Our database says that Flat xxx is unlicensed" "...you are breaking the law unless you have a valid TV license." "Blah blah blah..." I do have a TV, but I don't even own an ariel. I just use it tae play my xbox through. All the details about fines and legal action are very much in bold print. I wonder if I really do need a license?
  15. Holy hell! I was just hayin' a bite to eat there. Thanks fir the warning!
  16. Marjolein, dy wan may well be the single funniest image I have ever seen... Ohhh meeee.... I can hardly get typed fir gaffin at it. He's a peerie bit lik Zoidberg.
  17. In all seriousness now... If I wis tae look at yun picture and asked whit I saw, it wid be a baby. I just canna get my heed aroond whit you are seeing. I suppose it could be any number of things, as Tombland said, just like the clouds. Here ya go! http://static.flickr.com/92/279107496_0819d1f638.jpg
  18. This is what I see. My water-basking nemesis and only enemy. He haunts me wherever I go. An "Ecto-spasm" is the scientific term for him I think. http://static.flickr.com/97/279094382_feff8f10d9.jpg ...PuddlePiltock?! My ar......eh..... tail!
  19. Try using a longer shutter speed and turning the flash off. Use the light fae the moon to light the photo. You'll need a tripod, but it should stop any random dust or moisture in the air from becoming illuminated like a flare! Edit - It would work especially well if there was snow on the ground. The snow would reflect any light the moon gives off for a brighter more vivid picture.
  20. I totally understand where you're coming from. I used to carry my Lumix FZ20, my phone and my big iriver everywhere. Since I can't really get away with doing that in the city, I have narrowed it down to my phone and my MP3 player. I've not really tried the music features on my phone yet so I can't really comment on how easy they are to use. Out of curiosity, do you work from a mac or a pc? I am currently on a windows lappy and the only downside with the phone is that the file transfer software is diabolical. I've had that problem with every single piece of sony hardware I've ever owned. If you have a mac (or a bluetooth compatible pc I suppose) the file transfer is easy. The two things recognise each other straight away, and you can transfer files in an instant. I'm too lazy to splash out on a bluetooth stick thingy, so I usually just go over to my pal's flat and use his mac. In terms of what I carry around with me, my ideal setup would be my phone and a small flash-based MP3 player, maybe around the 4GB mark.
  21. Yes I have. The K750i is basically the little brother to the k800i. In terms of picture quality, the K800i is absolutely miles ahead. I keen a guy with the W810i, and he uses it to listen to music while he's working. You can use the K800i to listen to music as well but the W810 is definately designed more around that side of things. As I say, the K800i is the best for picture quality, but probably the most expensive of the 3. It just depends what you want to do with it, but I would say the choice is between the k800 and the w810.
  22. I have one. It's fantastic, especially fir the course I'm doing. The picture quality is excellent for a mobile phone, and it's really easy to use. It basically means I don't have to lug a big camera around with me everywhere, but if I ever see anything worth documenting, I can. If you would like I could email you an example of a picture?
  23. What is it? http://static.flickr.com/107/274656669_f2c3d0953d.jpg
  24. I've just noticed something really REALLY odd aboot yin picture...
