Acually the winter tyres you get now don't have studs on them just a better tread pattern for grip in the snow, The cleaver bit now your every day SUMMER tyres are made of a different compound of rubber and their effectivness under about 7degrees centigrade is severly reduced where grip levels fall away, Modern WINTER tyres compound is designed to work below this temperature and so give far more grip. The problem is once above this temperature the tyres will ware out quicker.

if you look on the sic web page under the planing department you shall find that the brae hotel is to have a major rebuild the contractors are being sought at the mo. The building is to get reclad have an all new glass front built on and a complete refit inside. There is no point throwing money at the outside to have it torn off in a couple of months is there.
