I'd add my congratulations to Yell. A great achievement to reach the final again. Interesting that Yell are the only team to take points off Delting in the league this season. Let's hope they make a game of it in the final.

I thought it was the case that owing to a gentleman's agreement, teams had agreed to avoid playing County players from the previous season in B games. Surprised to see last year's county captain playing for Whalsay B last night. Definitely something the footall association needs to make a rule on so tat everyone knows where they stand.

I thought the shetland team was playing 4 games in 4 days on the Highland tour. if that's the case, I'd say it's madness! 2 games would surely have been plenty. what state will the team be in comes the Sunday? As for Island Games, I can't understand why the SFA advised Shetland not to go because of the heat. I'd have thought they should've issued the same advice to WI if it actually meant anything.

Did Unst have a team worth playing for, back in the late 80s when those two Unst players signed for Delting? Slightly different situation here I think.

Southend v Delting Parish Cup final of 2002(?) was good to watch. Great crowd fae Southend - shame it turned out 5-1 in the end! Flea coming on as a sub and getting booked within 5 minutes was football gold!

Isle of man semi final was pretty incredible! I doubt if that level of tension will be seen for a long time at a Shetland game. Completely off the subject, what's happened to the Highland Fuels this season?

I like Jim Tait's articles in the Times. Admittedly some of what he writes is a bit dubious and his bias for Thistle is a bit much to take at times, but it does serve its purpose well - it gets folk speaking about local sport. I can't see him appearing on Jimmy Hill's Sunday Supplement anytime soon though!

When will Unst see sense and realise that the north isles will be better served in the longer term by one team doing reasonably well instead of two teams that will be cuffed? I'm sorry to say that I can see Yell folding after the first month - it's actually pointless them even starting the season, loans or no loans.
