Sigurros
Hi. Does anyone know where is the best place to find lots of local organic vegetables and fruit for buying on a regular basis? I'm interested in non-starchy stuff like lettuce, spinach, beets, radishes, celery, strawberries. I'm going raw vegan for health reasons, and I need a good source. Victoria 880568 or PM meThanks! paulb
Scoop at the Toll Clock Centre (Bolts) keep local vegetables.but expensive. the local stores may stock some. and of course the farmers markets. you could always contact the local producers if your able to take more than the odd 5kg of spuds. MuckleJoannie
I was at the Shetland Food Festival this weekend and I saw a couple of demonstations. Both Raymond Smith (Monty's) and Glynn Wright (Shetland College) were emphasising the fact they they used Shetland produce for their cooking. Glynn also said that a lot of places South use Shetland lamb and seafood. According to Glynn the main attraction, Stewart Boyles of Martin Wishart Loch Lomond, had just got 50 Shetland lambs from Vementry.
