JustMe
Got both my card and my pin number in the same post yesterday. Interesting to see the bit about business travel no longer being included in the scheme. Left wondering who is going to check on the purpose of passengers journeys and indeed how they define business travel.

penthro1
Just booking flights for later in the year, and notice my ADS card ends in march 2015 as I expect reading previous posts most folks do. Does anyone have any information if these are going to be replaced with new cards for shetland residents?
tands
Just had a quick look on the ADS website, last news of this was in April 2011. It also seems reading back in this thread that the decision to continue was made very late in 2011 so not a surprise that nothing has been said yet. April 2011 UPDATE - CONTINUATION OF THE AIR DISCOUNT SCHEME (ADS) Scheme members and prospective members should note that the European Commission has provided its agreement for the scheme to continue for a further 4 years until 31 March 2015. Residents of the Island of Colonsay are now eligible for scheme membership and application details can be found here. Scorrie
I seem to recall reading somewhere that we have funding for continuation. Or I may have just dreamt it?
MuckleJoannie
Support for ADS is in the Scottish budget for 2015/16 http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2014/10/2706/16# About 1/3 of the way down Air ServicesTable 12.03: More Detailed Spending Plans (Level 3) What the budget doesThe budget supports Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL) and Prestwick Airport.
