Frances144
Has Shetland News website ground to a halt? Nothing since 28th December. I thought news was sort of daily or as it happened? Perhaps nothing has happened.... Perhaps there is no one out there....
Hector's House
Do you just get a daily news feed? The website has had a festive greetings notice since before xmas stating "We will be back with the news on 4th January"
Frances144
Ah, they gave themselves a holiday.
PJ of Hildisvik
Some aspects of Shetland culture are still in the 1960's. Why is it that the "luxourious" toilets in toon aren't open today? And why have they turned off the hot water?
smaadrink
What a positive start to 2012...Moan moan moan!!!! If you are not happy with the Shetland way of life....there are other options!
PJ of Hildisvik
^^^^^^ And another "typical" response, seeing you don't have an answer to the questions
zebedee
Some aspects of Shetland culture are still in the 1960's. Why is it that the "luxourious" toilets in toon aren't open today? And why have they turned off the hot water? Today is a public holiday. So my guess is the toilet attendant is not working today. The same may well be the case for tomorrow too. I didn't realise this was a Shetland culture issue. Do non-essential council staff in other areas have to work public holidays over the festive season? PJ of Hildisvik
The toilets cost enough to build, so i can't see the problem with paying a bit extra to keep them open.
Hakon J
Maybe PJ could volunteer.

Biglad
God for bid anyone other than 'Shetlinkers' having some days off at Christmas and New Year!

Maybe you should put your suggestion to Mr Buchan. He may well be better equipped to 'see the problem' as he has been spending his time on finding ways to save the council money. Shoogler
Volenteer ? er, NO! LOL. Its a public holiday - why should the public purse incur additional costs that we can't really continue to afford, especially when the attitude towards volunteering is so crap?On topic - even Shetland News deserve a few days off don't they?
