ava1
There seems to be more oil workers being flown in to Shetland injured, is safety of the worker being neglected or are they just employing anyone these days.
MuckleJoannie
It's hard to tell. The're could be more activity near Shetland or there could be a policy change that meant more causalities come here now. Scorrie
Ghostrider
Tend to argee with MuckleJoannie, "quality" of workers, and "safety" are subjective and inextricably co-dependent, so down to opinion more than much else. Certainly activity is well up at the moment, and incidents seem more frequent, but whether they're disproportionately high compared to the activity increase, or appreciably more frequent than during the previous high activity periods such as the late 70's and in to the 80's, I really wouldn't care to make a call on. "Seems to be" and "are they just employing anyone" implies that you are basing your statement on nothing more than your own unproven opinion. I'd be interested to see if you can actually dig out any facts to prove your opinions.
