I too remember that day . We had just not long moved house and were decorating sitting room . We had kitchen rigged up with tv and two cumfy chairs on a well earned break i glanced at tv and said to my b/h there is a great film on tv we stood there suddenly realising what was going on . needless to say all decorating stopped . Later that night I had phone call to say we were going to be grandparents . So we remember with sadness and great joy .

Trout your recipe was great ! The pan I have has a ruler on handle . It came with a pod you put all details into pod and there you go . It even beeps when its time to turn steak . It also tells you to rest steak . Before I got pan I just did't cook steak .

N ow ox tounge I can eat . Love sweetbreads though havnt had those for a long time . Hate celery .

Thank you trout I would never have thought of adding juices from steak . I could never cook steak ( I make a great fish soup though ) until I bought a steak pan with gauge that tells you exact times for rare medium or well done !

We get them every year at this time . You can hardly see the harle on wall s ! If they get into the cabbages and lay eggs they are ruined . We also cant open windows for bluebottles and moths yuk !

Glad you arrived back safely shetlandpeat . Everyone I have spoke to enjoyed the day . Especially refreshments after . The bairns were thrilled with their meadals ( as were quite a few adults !!!) Nice one EM I knew some of the funny storys would come out . Shetlandpeat met a German fellow on boat and told him about walk and he ended up doing walk as well . I was on homebake stall and most people were buying things for a couple o pound and handing over a fiver and said keep the change . One woman bought £1 . 50 and handed over £20.00 .

What a great day ! Really pleased with turn out . Sandyg will be on later with total . Weather was great as well despite forecast .
