Once you find said pan and water, set both timers going when the 4 min one runs out turn over both. When the 7 min one with 3 left runs out, put on egg using remaining 1 min of sand in 4 min timer then turn over same timer twice more for your 9 minutes.

When the 4min one runs out turn it over

When the 7min one runs out turn it over

When the 4min runs out the second time (8 minutes) turnover the 7min egg timer (with 1 min remaining)

When that runs out it's 9 minutes.
