ladyfootballer
In a sport now dominated by millionare average quality players this is a fitting tribute to a previous generation who still had the connection to the supporters and never forgot how fortunate they were to be living every fans dream. I doubt we'll see his kind again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lt8YK-iUmd0
Skyumpi
A great minutes applause there at the Motherwell v Rangers, with "Mac the Knife" playing in the background - I'm sure Tommy would approve. I was in the Jungle for TB's last game for Celtic. When we realised that he was going to throw his boots into the crowd there was some pack and although they landed less than 50' away, it might as well have been 50 miles! The tribute program on ITV last night was very good although the woman who said that Tommy never lost the rag or had a bad word to say about anybody must have forgotten about his playing career! He was a great player on his day but he had a firey redheads temper sometimes and was always totally committed to his team. He'll be sadly missed by many.RIP Tommy. hellsbells
My hubby and son were in Manchester and when they came back me and son went to Parkhead and he left his Shetland flag and scarf it was a sad sight to see all the scarfs etc.
