ArabiaTerra
Did anyone else see the meteor last night? It went from North to South around 10pm. A red head with a bright orange tail. I've only ever seen one as bright and that was many years ago. I saw it from the top of Fogralea while me and a mate were standing outside the house having a fag. Cool! Sudden Stop
I've seen two shooting stars (roughly south east to north west) in the last week. I did read somewhere recently that we (the planet that is) were rumbling through some floating gravel over the next couple of weeks. Must be just about done by now though... crofter
Saw a North-to-south one a few nights ago, about 5pm. I think it was a little bit brighter than the one you saw AT To be serious, it was one of the best I've ever seen.

Jeemsie1989
Last time I saw a meteor was back in 2001, I think. So not seen one in aaaaaaaaages!
Medziotojas
If you head out of town on any clear frosty night and look to the heavens then you'll see them. You don't need to wait for the annual meteor showers (although you may need to spend a long time gazing skywards at other times of year). I guess people don't see them because they don't look up at the night sky, or they stay in built up areas where light pollution is a problem. I've seen hundreds in Shetland, and tens here when I'm out of the city.
khitajrah
Last time I saw a decent one was in November 2004 - it was so big and bright that our shadows were cast on the ground. It was quite spectacular!
TeeAyBee
Remember this phrase is may help you out: "Gort! Klaatu Barada Nicto." Sorry I missed the sighting. It's not often you get a more persistent track like that ccoming in. I'm very jealous.
